Through
those that we are living here, even the lovers of the
place, we are forgetting the quantity of marvels that
surround us. It is already known, the man is set in one's
way, and he is accustomed to everything, even to the
beauty. However, there are days that the most indifferent,
the most distracted, is surprised by an image: the calm
sea after the storm, with all the range of colors; the
palms rocked by the breeze, its shades drawn in the sand;
the full moon, orange, enormous, emerging from the sea;
the bloomed flamboyant, burst of red; a hummingbird
sucking the nectar of a flower...or it is a sound that
calls our attention: the whisper of the approaching rain,
the song of the birds, the drone of the nocturnal insects,
the sea splashing the sandy ground...
We are lucky to live in an
authentic paradise, bordered by kilometers of golden
beaches, still wilds and virgins, in which it is possible
to walk until getting tired; in the middle of the biggest
concentration of coconut palms of the world; surrounded by
beautiful and green hills, dominating the Ocean of calm
and turquoise waters; with waves for the passionate of the
surf; breeze for those who like kite and wind
surf...without forgetting the immense and luminous smile
of the Dominicans, mirror and symbol of the kindness of
this people.
Nevertheless, the most
special of this paradise is that it is not located in a
wild and inhospitable corner removed from the rest of the
world. La Terrenas is a lively city, which offers an
amplest range of services for all the needs and tastes to
the tourists and the residents: restaurants of all levels,
supermarkets with supplies of national and international
products, little and medium hotels with different
services, stores with interesting local crafts.
This can be the reason, and
the consequence, by which there has been formed an
international community, a multiracial, culturally set
enriching for everybody.
